Specially made for surf fishing with lures, these Battlestar Tackle Quick Clips are perfect for fast swapping between jerkbaits, swimbaits, or other rigs.
These clips have the right amount of strength to hold your bait securely when fighting any fish, and yet they are just soft enough that you can easily swap between lures by hand.
When I use a Quick Clip, I prefer to remove the split ring on the nose of my jerkbait, so that way it is much easier to handle.
I keep one Quick Clip on the nose of one of my jerkbaits, in its poly box packaging, in my fishing jacket.
I often rig up my leader and clip at home, and attach the Quick Clip to the hook hanger on my rod for the drive to the beach. My jerkbait remains safe in it's poly box in the pocket of my fishing jacket.
I either tie straight braid to my Quick Clip, or I use a leader of 30lb, or a minimum of 20lb. I cinch the knot down on the quick clip nice and strong to test my knot. I use my Battlestar Tackle 5" Mini Split Ring Pliers to help with this.
When, I get to the beach, and I'm wading out into the water and about to start casting, that's when I clip on my jerkbait. Right before I start casting.
